Werner Rollenmüller (Bedwyr)

Werner Rollenmüller, born in 1966 in Augsburg, studied singing from 1985 to 1991 at the Leopold Mozart Conservatory in his native city. He then attended the opera school of the College of Music and the Performing Arts in Stuttgart and, at the same time, with the support of the Richard Wagner Society and the German Theatre Association continued his singing studies with Kurt Moll in Cologne. Following a one-year period of study with Oren Brown in New York, he began his career as a concert and oratorio singer in 1996, including appearances with the Mainzer Domsingknaben Choir, the Heinrich Schütz Ensemble Munich and the Frankfurt Cäcilienverein.

From 1998 to 2001 he again devoted himelf to "studies" and his vocal education with Jan-Hendrik Rootering. For four years he was engaged as a bass in serious roles at the Theater Pforzheim before becoming a member of the Bavarian Radio Choir in 2004. As a Lieder singer he specialises in the Lieder of Franz Schubert and has performed "Die Schöne Müllerin", "Die Winterreise" and "Der Schwanengesang" many times.
