Philharmonia Festiva

Outstanding musicians and soloists of the leading orchestras in Munich (Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra of the Bavarian Radio, Bayerische Staatsoper) make up the Philharmonia Festiva. The Munich Bach Soloists - the prestigious orchestra originally founded by Karl Richter and looking back upon noteworthy tradition - constitutes the core of the orchestra. Based on their wish to extend the repertoire and interpret the great works of the Classic and Romantic eras, the Munich Bach Soloists now perform as a large orchestral body under the name Philharmonia Festiva.
